چکیده
A 40-year-old female patient presented with generalized eczema resistant to oral and topical steroids. The dermatitis had started on her legs after use of postepilation soothing remedies, and had become worse following liberal applications of a body lotion for ‘sensitive/allergic skin’. After remission, obtained by a short course of cyclosporin A and withdrawal from topical products, the patient was patch tested with the Societá Italiana di Dermatologia Allergologica Professionale ed Ambientale (SIDAPA) Baseline series, a cosmetic series, and her own products. She reacted positively to formaldehyde (+ at D2 and ++ at D3), fragrance mix I (+ at both D2 and D4), nickel sulfate (+ at D2 and D3),

Tyrosinase Inhibitory Effect and Antioxidative Activities of Fermented and Ethanol Extracts of Rhodiola rosea and Lonicera japonica
This is the first study to investigate the biological activities of fermented extracts of Rhodiola rosea L. (Crassulaceae) and Lonicera japonica Thunb. (Caprifoliaceae). Alcaligenes piechaudii CC-ESB2 fermented and ethanol extracts of Rhodiola rosea and Lonicera japonica were prepared and the antioxidative activities of different concentrations of samples were evaluated using in vitro antioxida...
متن کاملApplication of proteomics to identify the target molecules involved in Lonicera japonica-induced photokilling in human lung cancer CH27 cells
BACKGROUND The Lonicera japonica has been used as natural and healthy drink for its anti-inflammatory effect and pleasant odor in China and Taiwan. METHODS 2D electrophoresis was used to analyze the proteins involved in photoactivated Lonicera japonica-induced CH27 cell apoptosis. The fluorescent dyes MitoTracker Red CMXRos, calcein AM and JC-1 were used to elucidate mitochondrial function. T...
متن کاملRottlerin Inhibits Lonicera japonica-Induced Photokilling in Human Lung Cancer Cells through Cytoskeleton-Related Signaling Cascade
This study demonstrated that many apoptotic signaling pathways, such as Rho family, PKC family, MAP kinase family, and mitochondria-mediated apoptotic pathway, were triggered by Lonicera japonica extracts and irradiation in CH27 cells. Rottlerin, a PKCδ -selective inhibitor, reversed the photoactivated Lonicera japonica extract-induced decrease in PKCδ protein expression and change in cell morp...

Background. Cross-reactions and co-sensitizations are of great importance in understanding contact allergy and exposure sources. Objectives. To investigate common cross-reactions and co-sensitizations in p-phenylenediamine (PPD)-sensitized and toluene-2,5-diamine (TDA)-sensitized individuals. Methods. Fromour patch test population, 8036patients patch testedwith the European baseline series were...
متن کاملRelationship between formaldehyde and quaternium-15 contact allergy. Influence of strength of patch test reactions.
BACKGROUND In groups of patients with formaldehyde allergy, many have positive patch tests to quaternium-15. Conversely, of patients allergic to quaternium-15, over half also react to formaldehyde. OBJECTIVES To test our hypothesis that patients with stronger patch test reactions to formaldehyde are more likely to react to quaternium-15, attesting to the aetiological role for formaldehyde in ...
